He is Course Leader and Lecturer on a Mediation Course at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (SPC), Regent’s College, London, which trains and accredits mediators.  He is a member of the Bar Council ADR Committee, and was an External Examiner on the Mediation module of the Bar Vocational Course for 4 years.

He has mediated in a large number of professional negligence, personal injury, commercial, defamation, employment, property, and boundary disputes, as well as probate and family financial conflicts. He has lectured on Mediation throughout the UK, and in Jersey, China, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Italy, and Hungary.

Mediation Experience:

I work for the Milton Keynes Council Special Educational Needs Department as an Education Officer. 
This is a role that requires frequent mediation with parents, carers and schools in order to prevent tribunal hearings and further litigation regarding the statutory assessment process.

Education Experience:

I started my career initially as a primary school teacher. I moved on to spend the following four years teaching secondary pupils who were permanently excluded from their mainstream schools in West London and across Northamptonshire. I received non-violent crisis intervention and positive behaviour management training. I progressed into my current position, in which I have received conflict resolution and conciliation training. I am currently working through the Informa Education Law Self Study Course and maintain an up to date knowledge of current developments in education, legislation and practice particularly within SEN, pupil attendance, behaviour, exclusion and re-integration. I have received recent training in SEN and disability discrimination. 
During my time at university I tutored children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder using an intervention based on the UCLA model of Applied Behaviour Analysis, commonly known as the Lovaas Programme. Throughout three summer seasons I took a lead role on the Northamptonshire County Council Acceleration Activity Project. This was a therapeutic activities project aimed at vulnerable young people aged from 13 – 16.  I worked as an activities instructor, duty group project manager and camp pastoral care co-ordinator.

Annie works as a consultant, trainer and facilitator with organisations in private, public and voluntary sectors. She designs and delivers her own courses as well as courses designed by others. She covers the fields of management, leadership, team building, interpersonal skills etc. She facilitates team meetings, business reviews and other events. She supervises and mentors executive coaches and senior managers. She works with staff at all levels from senior management to face-to-face work with service users

She has had considerable experience in the field of substance misuse training, supervision and education over many years and is currently running courses on Coping with Conflict for families of users for a national charity. He has been a Member of the Management Board of the European Sponsorship Association and lectured widely on the subject.


Greville is extremely interested in the development and counselling of teenage children given that he has two teenagers and has taken several Parentlink Courses.

Psychotherapy Practice:

David has a private practice in London as well as undertaking part-time work for the NHS. He has a particular interest in working with people afflicted by depression and those suffering from extreme anxiety.

Nadir Burney

Legal Experience:

Nadir has worked with commercial law firms in the United Kingdom and Pakistan and is a qualified barrister. He is currently working for a commercial law firm in London that deals with litigation, conveyanceing, probate and personal injury.

Social Work Experience:

Nadir has run a pro-bono office in Karachi for the Law Society of England & Wales, which provided Pakistani juvenile detainees with free legal representation. He has worked extensively with children’s charities in Pakistan has led a developmental project within Karachi’s largest informal urban settlement.

He has also studied 'Islamic Law', ‘Refugee Studies’ and ‘Law and Society in South Asia’ at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. He wrote two final year dissertations on Islamist Legislation in Pakistan and on refugee repatriation in Afghanistan.

Time in South Asia 
Nadir was born and raised in Karachi, and resided there until 2002. His work with charities, criminal aid offices and commercial law firms has facilitated interaction with a broad range of people - including government officials, corporate clients and juvenile detainees.

The experience of having lived and worked in both the United Kingdom and Pakistan has shaped his ability to communicate effectively and respectfully within a variety of cultural contexts.
